The first full week of January is Home Office Safety and Security Week. It's a great chance for you to reach out to the work-from-home crowd with helpful advice and hopefully a compelling marketing reason to visit your business in person or online.
Post recommended reading, lists of recommended home or office safety products or services or links to local resources on Facebook, your blog and e-mail newsletter.
Partner with local law enforcement, private security firms, alarm installation companies, technology experts and other home or office safety professionals for cross or cooperative marketing or to hold a home or office safety workshop.
Invite the employees of businesses located near yours or those of your marketing partners to attend your safety or self-defense workshops, or work together to conduct safety training for all of your employees.
Ensure that all of your company's employee stations are equipped with safety and emergency kits. Ensure that signage for customer or employee emergency instructions or evacuation routes are up to date and clearly identified. Tell customers and employees about improvements your make to safety or security within your business.
Add items like emergency and first aid kits, alarms systems, personal safety alarms, dog training, fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms or battery replacements, etc. to your retail or to give away as contest prizes or a gift-with-purchase.
Post computer safety tips on your Facebook page, blog, bag stuffers and e-mail newsletter. Partner with a computer safety expert to hold a seminar on computer security and online safety.
Partner with a mobile computer file backup business to hold a computer safety demonstration and education event. Create cooperative marketing offers to extend to the employees and customers of computer sales and service businesses.
