Elvis Presley Week

The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis' fame and music live on. Thanks to this, we have some very fun marketing tips for Elvis Presley Week, which is the second week of January each year.

Whether your favorite is the young Elvis or old Elvis, celebrate Elvis Presley week with your customers by holding a contest or drawing to win an Elvis album or video.


Work with marketing partners to hold an Elvis-appreciation happy hour featuring drawings or contests to win iPod or iTunes cards, albums, etc. Feature sampling, demonstrations and consultations at the event, give away branded tchotchkes and extend a bounce-back offer.


Hold online drawings for followers on Facebook or people that ‘retweet’ your posts on Twitter; reward winners with Elvis albums, products or gift cards. Post Elvis history and trivia on your Facebook page, blog and e-mail newsletter.


In cooperation with a restaurant, wine shop, bar, caterer or other facility, hold an Elvis Presley music event or a look or sound-alike contest. Photo-document the party with a photographer marketing partner. Hire an Elvis impersonator for entertainment and attendee photos. Provide attendees with goodie bags that include bounce-back offers, products or gift cards. Collect contact information to build your database, and extend a special offer to all attendees after the event.
